KeyDate updates itself automatically — every release arrives right in the app.

A more polite welcome — the welcome screen insisted on staying in front of everything, including the System Settings pane waiting for your Accessibility permission. It now steps aside at the right moment, and comes back once the permission is granted.
License without the echo — the “Holder” line repeated your email address, already shown right below. Once is enough.
A gear for the menu — “Preferences…” now has its ⚙︎ in the KeyDate menu. It was overdue.

Insertion fixed in Google Drive — some dialogs (“Copy document”, for instance) reported the date as inserted, which was not the case. KeyDate no longer takes their word for it: it checks, then inserts the date. In every browser.

New welcome screen — a guided 3-step activation to get started right; it shows once, even if you already use KeyDate.
Preferences easy to find — KeyDate menu → Preferences… (⌘,), plus a gear ⚙︎ at the top of the menu bar panel.
“Updates” section in the About tab: manual check and an explanation of automatic updates.
The welcome screen now shows properly above full-screen apps.

Shortcuts always on — global keyboard shortcuts now work even when text triggers are disabled: the two features are independent.
Internal stability fixes.

Reliable insertion everywhere — text triggers now work in dialog boxes too (Save, Open…), thanks to Accessibility-based replacement.
Fuller mini-calendar — days from the previous and next months appear greyed out, and stay clickable.
Complete license management — see your license details (name, email, number) and remove it in one click to switch Macs.
Built-in purchase — the app's "Buy" button now leads straight to the purchase page.
